3rd GREENERING International Conference

CONFERENCE AWARDS

The 3rd Greenering International Conference will award several awards to conference participants.
For category of PhD students and for category Early Careers Investigators (ECI, a researcher whose career spun less than 8 years between the date of the PhD/doctorate):

  • The Best Poster Award and
  • The Best Oral Presentation Award

will be awarded.

The 3rd Greenering International Conference will also award with the free conference participation (conference registration) for 2 students – winners of the online contest “Shaping the greener future”.

GREENERING Video Competition: SHAPING THE GREENER FUTURE

GREENERING Video Competition: SHAPING THE GREENER FUTURE is a competition devoted to PhD students working in the field of green technologies and green chemistry. The main objective of the video competition is to spread the idea of green technologies and green chemistry and to educate the wider audience on their potential and benefits. Besides, the competition has the objective of supporting successful young scientists in boosting their knowledge in the green technologies and chemistry, as well as increasing their network in the field of the interest.

It is an online video competition, meaning that participants videos will be shared through the greenering.org and greenering.net websites, as well as GREENERING social networks. It will be also placed on the GREENERING YouTube channel. By sending the video material it is considered that competition participant accepting it to be published online and that they are aware that their video material will be open for the wider public.

AWARD

2 PhD students with the highest number of votes will be awarded by free participation (free registration) at the 3rd GREENERING International Conference that will be organized at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, from 12th to 14th February 2025.

Competition Dates and Voting Rules:

  • The competition is open on the 1st of June 2024 and will be closed on the 20th of July 2024.
  • Granted PhD students will be announced on the GREENERING networks on the 25th of September 2024.
  • The jury evaluating the videos are the members of the Organization and Scientific Committee of the 3rd GREENERING International Conference that will be held from 12th to 14th February 2025 at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. Besides, the video that achieves the most likes from the wider audience on the GREENERING social networks will get additional 5 winning votes.

Video recording instructions:

The video material should last no more than 1 min and 15 sec.

  • First option: You can prepare PowerPoint or Prezi presentation with recorded voice.
  • Second option: You can prepare video using your mobile phone or any other camera. You can record your voice, or you can use the AI possibilities to add voice and/or subtitles to the video material.
  • Third option: Video material can also be animated using adequate software. Here you can also add your voice or voice using AI. Subtitles can be used too.

Beginning of the video material:

The video should start with your introduction e.g.:

“Hi everyone. I am Lucas James from Khalifa University, Department of Chemical Engineering, UAE. Here is my vision of green technology of the future”.

The introduction can be made in video format with voice, or can be in a text format placed at the beginning of the video.

Ending of the video material:

The video material should end with the name of the competition and the message bellow, in a text form:

“Video made for GREENERING Video Competition: SHAPING THE GREENER FUTURE

See you in Abu Dhabi in February 2025 at the 3rd GREENERING International Conference”
